Spanning over 600 pages with 536 sections, 23 chapters, and 16 schedules, it covers all aspects of taxation.<\/h3>\n<h2 id=\"h3\" dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>: Main Objectives of Income Tax Act 2025:<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 dir=\"ltr\" style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><em><strong>1) Simplified tax provisions with clearer language:<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The Income Tax Act 2025 aims to provide a more simpler tax code which is less complex, easily understandable and much easier to interpret.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>2) Reduced Tax rates and increased Rebate:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This Act reduces the income tax rates in order to promote higher demand for goods and services. This, in turn, leads to increased money in the hands of the taxpayer which leads to more savings.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>3) Reduced legal disputes by removing ambiguities:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>With a streamlined tax administration and use of modern mechanisms for tax compliance, the Act aims to reduce legal disputes and provide for a more easier redressal system.\u00a0<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>4) Much easier compliance:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>With a reduction in the content, the Act aim to make compliance easier and more efficient. This in turn will encourage more tax filings and reduced tax evasion.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>5) Recognition of Virtual Digital Asset:<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The definition of Virtual Digital Asset has been broadened to include cryptocurrencies and other digital assets. This has been done with a focus to simplify the taxation process of such assets.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Income Tax Act 2025 Highlights<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Simplified Structure: <\/strong>Reduced from over 700 sections to 536, with improved layout for better clarity.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tax Year: <\/strong>The concept of Previous Year and Assessment Year is replaced by the unified &#8220;Tax Year&#8221; (April 1 to March 31).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Consolidation of TDS provisions:<\/strong>\u00a0TDS provisions (previously spread across Sections 192 to 194T) are consolidated into Section 393 for easier reference.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Definition of VDAs:\u00a0<\/strong>The definition of Virtual Digital Asset is expanded to include any asset with a digital representation of value that relies on a cryptographically secured ledger or similar technology.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Simplified Language:<\/strong>\u00a0Redundant provisions are removed, making the Act more taxpayer-friendly.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Effective Date:<\/strong>\u00a0The Act will be effective from April 1, 2026, once passed in the Parliament.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #333399;\"><strong>Slab Rate in Income Tax Act 2025<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The rates at which the taxpayer&#8217;s income will be subject to taxation are known as the slab rates. India has a progressive tax rate system, meaning that as income rises, so does the tax slab rate.
